Team White wanted to find a way to give back to their community. They chose to volunteer at Rowan Helping Ministries of Salisbury, NC.
“These boys spent a day giving back - a day they could have spent somewhere else - but they chose to make a difference in the lives of others."
Members of Team White (formerly the Rowan Hurricanes) spent hours unloading pallets of food and organizing it in the food pantry for Rowan Helping Ministries. Giving back to the community illustrates the true heart of players on Team White.
A Lesson Learned
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. NIV Bible Luke 6:38
Despite the hard work, the players enjoyed themselves and gave positive feedback to Coach Marcus White about the experience. It truly meant a lot to them since they knew that their hard work would help another person in their community.
